The HELM Foundation Water Project – Kenya
In alignment with its mission to uplift and empower vulnerable communities, The HELM Foundation has launched a transformative Water Project in Kenya aimed at providing sustainable access to clean and safe drinking water. This initiative focuses on rural and underserved regions where water scarcity has severely impacted health, education, and economic stability—particularly for women and children.
Project Goals
Ensure Access to Clean Water: Install solar-powered boreholes and gravity-fed water systems in high-need areas.
Improve Health Outcomes: Reduce waterborne diseases by ensuring clean water access at both household and community levels.
Empower Women and Children: Minimize the time spent collecting water, enabling girls to attend school and women to pursue economic activities.
Promote Sustainability: Train local water committees and partner with community leaders to maintain water systems and ensure long-term success.
Project Impact
Over 10,000 individuals will gain access to safe drinking water.
Significant reduction in water-related illnesses in target communities.
Increased school attendance, especially among girls, who often bear the burden of water collection.
Creation of local employment opportunities through construction and maintenance roles.
